Shinobi Immortals Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This policy covers Shinobi Immortals, a ninja action roguelike published by Can You Games. It applies to the Android app distributed on Google Play under the package name com.canyougames.shinobiimmortals.

The short version: Shinobi Immortals collects nothing. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no server. The app requests no Android permissions at all, including internet access, so it has no way to send anything off your device. Your progress and settings are saved in files on your phone and stay there.

Google Play Data safety summary

For anyone cross-checking this policy against the Data safety section of the Google Play listing:

  • Data collected: none.
  • Data shared with third parties: none.
  • Game progress: stored on your device only, never transmitted anywhere.
  • Deletion: uninstalling the app or clearing its storage erases everything it saved.

What the game saves on your device

Shinobi Immortals writes a few small files into its private app storage, the sandboxed directory Android gives every app, which no other app can read. They contain game state only and are never transmitted:

  • meta.save, your permanent progress: banked coins, the Training upgrades you have bought, and whether you have finished the tutorial.
  • run.save, the run in progress, so Continue can pick it up where you left off. Abandoning or finishing the run clears it.
  • settings.cfg, your settings: volumes, graphics quality, camera sensitivity, touch layout, and any controls you have rebound.
  • dojo.cfg, a note of whether you have opened the Dojo’s training scroll.

To protect against a crash or a dead battery mid-save, the game writes each save to a .tmp file first and keeps the previous good copy as .bak.

The game also keeps a graphics shader cache and a shader_warmup.cfg marker so it loads faster after the first launch. The cache is labelled with your phone’s graphics chip model so a driver change can be detected. It is a performance file, holds nothing about you, and stays on the device like everything else.

The Android build is packaged with automatic backup disabled (allowBackup="false"), so none of this is copied to Google Drive or moved to a new phone. Progress lives on one device, and deleting the app deletes it.

Permissions

The app declares no Android permissions. It does not declare INTERNET, so Android blocks every network request the app could make. It reads no advertising ID, and there is no location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, vibration or notification permission. Game controllers work through Android’s standard input system, which needs no permission.

The listing does require a phone with Vulkan graphics support. That is a hardware requirement Google Play checks when deciding whether the game can be installed, not a permission or a data collection.

Ads and in-app purchases

There are no ads and no in-app purchases. Coins, the currency spent on Training upgrades and at stops along a run, are earned only by playing and cannot be bought with real money.

What we don’t collect

  • No account, sign-in, email address, or username.
  • No name, phone number, address, or payment information.
  • No location, precise or approximate.
  • No advertising ID or other device identifier.
  • No analytics or telemetry: no event tracking, no session recording, no crash-reporting SDK.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information, because there is none.

Children’s privacy

Shinobi Immortals is an action game with sword and ninjutsu combat. It is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal information from anyone, children included. If you are a parent with questions, email [email protected].

What Google Play collects

Separately from the game, Google Play collects data when you download or update any app: install and uninstall events, device model, crash traces the operating system reports, and whatever else Google’s policies describe. We see only aggregate, anonymised versions of some of this in the Play Console. That collection is Google’s, governed by the Google Privacy Policy, and outside our control.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and equivalents)

We hold no personal data about Shinobi Immortals players, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or export. To delete what the game saved on your phone, uninstall it, or go to Android Settings → Apps → Shinobi Immortals → Storage → Clear data. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority at any time.

Security

There is no player database to breach and no password to steal. The app is signed with a private release key and distributed through Google Play, which verifies package integrity on install. If you find anything that contradicts this page, such as network traffic from the app or data written where it should not be, report it to [email protected] with reproduction steps.

Changes to this policy

If Shinobi Immortals’ data practices change, for example ads, online play, leaderboards, cloud saves, or in-app purchases, this page will be updated before the version that introduces the change is released, and the “last updated” date at the top will move. Material changes will be described explicitly rather than folded silently into existing text.
